ABOUT ICPG

RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO IT ALONE.

The Indiana Council on Problem Gambling strives to generate awareness, promote education, and be an advocate for quality treatment of problem gamblers in the State of Indiana. The ICPG was founded in 1996 by a group of individuals and organizations whose goal was to ensure that help was available for problem gamblers in a time of increasing types of legalized gambling in Indiana.

The ICPG seeks to work with all individuals and organizations involved in gaming activities that address problem gambling in Indiana. The Council believes that success will result from these partnerships.

FROM OUR DIRECTOR

At the Indiana Council on Problem Gambling, we believe that hope begins with a conversation.

Since 1996, ICPG has worked to ensure that individuals, families, and communities across Indiana have access to education, resources, support, and quality treatment for problem gambling. As gambling opportunities have expanded and changed over the years, so has our responsibility to help Hoosiers understand the risks, recognize the signs of a gambling problem, and know where to turn when help is needed.

Problem gambling can affect anyone. Its impact often reaches far beyond the person who gambles, touching spouses, children, friends, workplaces, and entire communities. That is why our work is not only about addressing gambling-related harm after it occurs. It is also about prevention, education, reducing stigma, strengthening the network of professionals who serve those affected, and creating an environment where asking for help is met with compassion rather than judgment.

ICPG brings together recovery advocates, community partners, the gaming industry, and individuals with lived experience around a shared purpose: reducing the impact of problem gambling throughout Indiana.

Most importantly, we want every person affected by problem gambling to know that they are not alone.

Recovery is possible. Families can heal. Lives can be rebuilt. And asking for help can be the first step toward something better.

Whether you are concerned about your own gambling, worried about someone you love, looking for professional resources, or simply want to learn more, we hope you will find information and support here that helps you take the next step.

There is help. There is hope. And there is a path forward.
